Know what today is? Today is my friend (and little sister)’s birthday. Happy birthday, Susan! I love you so much! And YESTERDAY was my friend Melissa’s birthday! Happy birthday friend! Love you Mel!

Terry and the girls are swimming at Grandma’s pool this afternoon. That’s good. That means when I come home I can actually relax. Swimming pool time is NOT relaxing at this point due to the fact that Maggie cannot swim, but believes she can. Can I tell ya, that equals A LOT of work for the mama.

As for me, it’s after two, and I can go home at 3pm. So that’s cool. I can feel a weekend coming on. Now, I’m not sure I’ll get to see much of my husband this weekend, as he is being the audio visual director for a wedding Saturday night. And, the rehearsal is tonight. And, due to the fact that he has taken children and Maybelle to various appointments in the middle of the day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week, I’m sure he is no where near ready for Sunday’s service. Therefore, I fully expect him to be at the church into the wee hours of the night tonight and probably all day tomorrow, too. But, maybe we’ll be able to fit in some family fun somewhere over the next couple of days.

I’ve been dieting all week. Well, okay, Monday I decided on Weight Watchers. Monday night I decided I didn’t care, and therefore I binged on chocolate and potato chips. Tuesday I decided on Weight Watchers again.  Tuesday night I decided that maybe I would give the T-FACTOR diet one more try. It used to work like a charm when I was in my twenties. But, the last couple of times I tried it for a week and NOTHING happened. So, I chalked it up to pathetic metabolism and went back to Weight Watchers both times. And, YES, I may have to do that again. But I soooooooooooo want counting fat grams to work for me again. And, maybe it will this time. Anyway, I’ve just been counting fat grams since Wednesday. I have not gained anything. For the week I’ve lost four pounds. But, it’s probably water weight, right? (Whatever. I’ll take it.)  Next week my gym membership starts. I will be exercising on my lunch hour. I’ll eat before or after that hour…at my desk. (Or, that’s the plan, this side of my gym membership start date, anyhoo.)  I really, really want this fat gram counting stuff to work for me again. Maybe coupled with exercise it will work? Man, I hope so. It’s toooooooo easy.

Wow! I’ve found a new fun thing and I’ve got to share. It’s a fruity drink with lots of vitamins called FUZE. I had one today with my lunch. I chose a flavor called Banana Colada. And, y’all, it is DE-lish! Said it had no fat, but it sure didn’t taste like it. Seek that stuff out; you’ve GOTTA try it. I am determined that I will find a local grocery store that carries this heavenly concoction.

While we’re on the subject of things that you could potentially get hooked on: Here lemme share some more of my personal faves. You know, I really am passionate about getting people hooked on products I’m passionate about.  (I’ll wait here while you go get pen and paper.)

1. Brilliant Brunette aeorosol hairspray. LOVE IT! I’ve been blonde before. A couple of times, actually. But, the blonde version of that stuff is NOT the same product. So don’t get sucked in. Brilliant Brunette is completely clear. Used to be I could find it at Kroger. But, not anymore. They’ve got everything else in that line, but not the hairspray. Now, please note, I used it when I was blonde. The name is merely a marketing ploy to target brunettes. But, it’s the best hairspray ou there. And it’s available at Target for sure. Running a close second is Umberto Beverly Hills aerosol hairspray, which I could only find at Target. Haven’t seen it in awhile.

2. DIGIORNO pesto in the refrigerated section next to the DIGIORNO tortillini…which is usually in the dairy case beside the cheese. My Kroger doesn’t carry it anymore. I’m thinking of organizing a sit in.

3. REVLON SUPER LUSTROUS lipstick in the black tube with the peek-a-boo top. I wear COFFEE BEAN, and miraculously, it has not been discontinued yet. I am in shock. This is a creamy, wonderful lip color. You can see the actual lipstick through the end of the tube, and best of all: It is completely sealed in plastic so your fellow shoppers cannot tamper with the product before you buy it. You can easily tell if someone’s been in a tube of this stuff. Great for germaphobes like me.  I’m not as bad as thy feller in “What About Bob?”, but I’ve been close at different times in my life. Hhhhhhhhhhhh.

4. STARBUCKS Dolce de Leche frappucino.  Oh y’all! Emmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! You’ve got to have one. Go now.

Okay. I think I’m onto something.  I’ll stop my list now, and pick up next time with number five on my list of faves. ‘Cause ya know what? It’s quittin’ time. Quittin’ time! Time to dissassemble this assembly line.  …Does anyone remember that song? Used to be part of the weekly five o’clock on Friday music on our local country radio station….seventeen years ago. I can just barely remember that.  I was only two years old then.

One more thing before I go for the weekend.  You know what else…WHO ELSE… I’m passionate about? I am totally hooked on Jesus Christ. Although, He might sometimes wanna say, “oh yeah?” about that. I do get bogged down in the messes of earth sometimes.  But, I love the Lord with all my heart. And, I just want to grow closer to Him everyday. I want to be so super-sensitive to what God wants.  And the way to become sensitive to that is to read in His Word daily, pray, LISTEN for Him to speak to you, and then DO WHAT HE SAYS TO DO. Become habitually obedient to God in even the little things, and you’ll find yourself in a divine relationship with your Maker that can not be surpassed. I know that one for a fact.

God bless you ever’ one.

Just had a few faves of my own that you might like to try …

Mac Lipglass in the color called Viva Glam VI – it’s killa!

Bath & Body Works Shampoo & Conditioner in Mango Manderin

and The Body Shop Body Butter in Satsuma. (we call this “discount lotion” at the UC, because every time our P&W’s wife wears it to the music store to buy equipment, she gets a discount!)

Just a couple of things to try out!

Okay, looks like a trip to a mall is in order if I’mo pick up the things on your list! But, I’m sure if you love ’em, I’ll love ’em, too. I can’t wait to see what color VIVA GLAM IV is. And, it betta not be pink. You know I don’t do pink lipstick nor pink finger nail polish. Just can’t do it…

VIVA GLAM VI (six not four) is a sheer mauve – not pink – that looks fab on top of any lip color I have. It’s a natural glisten on it’s own – but really compliments other deeper lip colors.

TM, please ignore my Mabelline Express Finish nail color on my toes right now – color is PINK SHOCK, but looks just dandy on my tanned feet!
