Interested in winning $10,000? (Duhhh.) Jessye is selling tickets for a fundraiser our high school band is doing called COWADUNGA. Basically, a field will be painted with a grid, and all the purchased ticket numbers will be marked on the grid. And, then, folks: a cow will be turned lose on the field.  As I understand it, the ticket number the cow decides to “mark” will win $10,000 or 10% of the total ticket money colleted. If for some reason the chips fall in such a way that more than one ticket number is affected, then the winnings will be split accordingly.

My goal is to sell 229 tickets at $10 a piece. (We need to raise $1600 for a trip to a national marching contest in New Orleans coming up in January.) So, let me know if you’d like to buy a chance to win some big bucks! By the way, in years past, the Cowadunga winnings have all gone to a single individual. Although, splitting $10,000 with some other winners would not be bad either, huh?

Tracey, put me down for a ticket – I’ll mail you $10. That is the most original fund raiser I’ve heard of in I don’t know when!
    Love ya!
