three hour diet

If that’s the answer, then the question must be regarding how long I stay motivated to diet once I resolve to begin a fast.
But, seriously folks: Y’all check this out. The interview is lengthy, but it’s all about revving up your metabolism by eating every three hours. Very intriguing. Supposedly you lose 2 lbs a week, and the first place you lose it is the belly. Sign me up! http://www.webmd.com/content/chat_transcripts/1/108026.htm?pageNumber=1

Check this link out … it’s a site that critiques every diet out there, including the 3-Hour Diet.
http://www.everydiet.org/3_hour_diet.htm
It makes some good points, but pay particularly close attention to the point that says that diets, alone, can’t pinpoint weight loss to a particular area of the body (bellies!) However, know that certain exercises can!
Frankly this diet is no different than any: it’s about portion control. So how much IS 3 oz. of chicken anyway … a coupla nuggets?
I also think it’s a little “off” to think that fast food is okay to eat.
At the end of the diet day, I think it all boils down to reducing calorie intake and increasing exercise.
But what do I know!!!!
Can’t wait to read some of your ramblings, and ramble a bit myself. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well I had to come check out your blog … can’t wait to read more, but since I saw this I had to comment.
I have a mini-version of his book. Didn’t buy the big one cause, well, cause I hate to read and know it would just sit on my shelf like all the others.
There’s nothing really different about Jorge’s plan than any other diet. When you read the fine print, that is. It’s not magic: it’s tiny portions (like 3 oz. of meat for dinner — that’s like what, a coupla chicken nuggets?) Anyway, I have heard several “cons” against him pretty much “recommending” junk or fast food.
Here’s a site that discusses it, along with most other diets.
Just gives you more “food for thought” on this one.

Pay particular attention to the line that says that with diet, alone, you can’t pinpoint where you will lose fat. I tend to agree with that (though specific exercises can do it for sure).
Can’t wait to read more of you! And I’ll let you know if I start a blog. Until then, read between the lines of the next newsletter and I’ll pop some funnies in it just cause I can.
