I have awakened to discover that my allergies are totally flipped out today. I had a Claritan for breakfast, so hopefully things will be under control soon. My face is even a little swollen. The dog would not quit trying to play last night while we were all trying to sleep…so I very sleepily got up and put her into her kennel  for the night. And in my haste to find my way back to the sheets, I failed to wash my hands before I got back in the bed. (I guess that may sound like no big deal for most people, but for me it means instant allergy attack.)

Maggie has encouraged me (pretty much as soon as she woke up) to go put on make up so that I can “be pretty”. Because, she says, “I like you to be pretty.” Then she offered me her lipgloss. Bless her heart, I hope I haven’t traumatized the baby…

So, while she was busy watching a show on Disney channel, I slipped into the master bath and curled my hair. Afterwards, I returned to the kitchen to fix a cup of coffee. And, I sneezed, so at that point she realized that I was back in the vecinity.

Immediately she began calling out food requests for me. So, I got her a bowl of cereal and brought it to her in the living room. She did a double take at me and then casually called out to me while watching tv and chewing Reeses Puffs,

“Mama, when you sneezed a minute ago, your hair puffed out.”

Entry filed under: chilluns.

I see Maggie has her mother’s sense of humor. She is so funny! Thanks for getting Monday off to an entertaining start.
