I hhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaate grapefruit juice.

And I am pretty much addicted to coffee with tons of sugar and cream.

On this diet, (which I started this morning), 

I cannot omit drinking grapefruit juice at each meal,

and I cannot have sugar.  

So, please do not bring me a cookie today. 

But, other than that, I’m doing great.

Please stand by, next mood swing in five minutes. 

GRAPEFRUIT DIET 

IN ONLY 8 WEEKS YOU SHOULD LOSE52 POUNDS!!!!!! 

BREAKFAST: 

1/2 GRAPEFRUIT OR UNSWEETENED GRAPEFRUIT JUICE 

2 EGGS (ANY WAY) 

2 SLICES OF BACON 

1 cup coffee or tea 

LUNCH:    

1/2 GRAPEFRUIT OR JUICE

 SALAD, WITH ANY DRESSING

 MEAT, ANY STYLE, ANY AMOUNT (FISH MAY BE SUBSTITUTED)

1 cup coffee or tea

 DINNER: 

 1/2 GRAPEFRUIT OR JUICE

MEAT, ANY STYLE, ANY AMOUNT, ETC

VEGETABLE, ANY GREEN OR RED, COOKED IN BUTTER  OR  SEASONING YOU LIKE OR, SALAD, AS ABOVE (not both)   

 1 cup coffee or tea  

BEDTIME SNACK:

GLASS OF TOMATO JUICE OR SKIM MILK 

INSTRUCTIONS:

At any meal, you may eat until you are full, until you cannot eat any more!  Don’t eliminate anything from the diet, especially do not skip bacon at breakfast or omit salad.  It is the combination of food that burns fat.  The grapefruit or juice is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process. Cut down on coffee.  It affects the insulin balance that hinders the burning process.  Limit it to 1 cup at mealtimes.  Do not eat desserts, breads, and white vegetables or sweet potatoes.  You may double or triple helpings of meat, salad or vegetable.  Eat until you are stuffed.  The more you eat the more of the proper combinations of foods you intake, the more you will lose. (I like THIS concept.) 

This diet completely eliminates sugars and starches, which are lipids.  Lipids form fat. Fat does not form fat.  Fat helps burn fat, so you can fry foods in butter and use butter generously on you vegetables. YOU CAN LOSE 10 POUNDS IN 10 DAYS.  THERE MAY BE NO WEIGHT LOSS THE FIRST 4 DAYS, BUT YOU LOSE 5 POUNDS ON THE FIFTH DAY.  THEREAFTER, YOU WILL LOSE 1 ½ POUNDS EVERY 2 DAYS UJNTIL YOU ARE WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. All soft drinks need to be diet and caffeine free. YOU MAY NOT HAVE:  Alcohol, white onions, potatoes, celery YOU MAY HAVE:  Red onions, bell pepper, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, green onions, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and okra.

    Sounds very Atkins-y. I’ll bet there aren’t 10 carbs in that entire day.
