daddy daily volume 25

I went and visited with Daddy a couple of hours yesterday.  Mama and I were talking, and we really feel like he IS progressing. He IS getting physically stronger. He IS feeding himself much better. He made a couple of walks down the hall yesterday with Mama walking beside him, and an attendant pushing his wheel chair right behind him in case he got tired and needed to sit down right quick.
Today, so far, he walked with an attendant’s help to the bathroom twice. Still needs assistance in there. And sometimes gets angry and yells at whomever is helping him because he doesn’t want anyone in there, of course. He wants privacy…don’t we all?  But, he still can’t quite handle everything in there yet.
Daddy said much that didn’t make sense today. But then, in the middle of all that, he looked at the picture frame I made him and said, “Aren’t we lucky? We have such a wonderful family.”
So, there IS progress being made. And, he is less combative. There is an established routine, and he’s accustomed to it. He is walking more (with assistance). He IS getting stronger. And, he IS eating well. He eats BEST when Mama is there at meal time because they eat in his room together.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. For those of you who like to pray specifically, being able to walk on his own, and being able to handle things in the restroom on his own will be major determiners as to whether he will be able to go home one day.
I believe God is in the details, and specific prayers are good.
Thanks all! And God bless your week.

Tracey thanks for the better news. We will be specific in our prayers and we will keep our faith up that things will be better and better and that one day he can go home. God is great everyday. Everyday God is great. God bless you and your family.
