bring back the barter system

Bring back the barter system, y’all! Can’t we? I mean, imagine what would happen if there were a grass roots effort in America to bring back basic bartering for goods and services! How cool would that be?
For example:
Say that I need my that won’t start because it hasn’t been cranked in four years to run once more. And lets say you want your three hundred wedding invitations addressed in calligraphy. I can do that easily. Let’s work out a trade!
If we all did an inventory of what we can easily do, and then made a list of things we need/want but can’t shell out the bucks for, then Christians could easily work things out without expense a lot of the time, I’d say. Instead of paying out right, barter time… Arrange a trade…HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?
Also, it could be worked as a “PAY IT FORWARD” type agreement if a person didn’t have anything they personally needed to barter with, they could say, “I’ll fix your car if you’ll go fix Bob’s fence.” (I stole that from a character in a John Travolta movie. But it’s GREAT!)
What a stellar concept! Count me IN!
