caused a wreck

Today, I drove to Taco Bell on my lunch hour (typical), and came back to our gated parking lot to read and eat lunch in my car. Well, I’d been there half an hour, I guess…and I hear a knock at my window. Naturally, considering the neighborhood my office is in, that sorta freaked me out. I looked back and saw, Patrick, one of the security guards. At that point, I noticed the security team “golf cart” was parked behind me, too. I rolled down my window to see what was up.
“Do you know you caused a man to run into a pole on your way out?” the uniformed security guard said to me.
“Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Where? Wh-wh-what happened?” I stuttered, trying to figure out how I could have totally missed that I may have caused a wreck.
“Yeahhhhh. As you were leaving the building going to lunch, a man who was coming into the building walked right slam into the marble column in the lobby…he was so busy lookin’ back over his shoulder at yo’ butt,” the guard said, shaking his head and grinning.
“NUH-UHHHH! Patrick! You’re tellin’ a tale!
“No! For real. He looked up at me after he run into the column and said, ‘Did YOU seeeeeee THAT?’ And I said to him, ‘YEAHHHHH. Monday through Friday!’ ”
“HAAAAAA!” I said, “Glad he wasn’t in a car!”
And to think I was all self conscious today because I was wearing a horizontal striped sweater, when I know it makesa person look even bigger! I guess maybe it must not be too bad of a look, afterall.
…I think I’ll have some M&Ms!

Did you not know you could cause your company to be sued for such behavior. You might even be a defendant yourself.
My blogg site is back up with a new entry. I swear I intend to do better.
