a poem I just penned: The Lazy Laundress

The Lazy Laundress
I am a firm believer
In using of a load of
Fresh, clean laundry
(Piled, warm and fresh,
Drawn from the dryer’s depths
Atop my unmade bed
With grand intentions tossed
Toward follow through with a
Folding frenzy)
As, instead–
A whimsically-whooshed
Spontaneously-strewn? No, decidedly thrown:
Throw rug
Beside said bed
Into which I crawl,
Sleepily, but not void of guilt
In the evening’s embrace.
